I found a really exciting vein last night, and just kept digging.
There is absolutely a manic side, when everything lines up and I feel like I can see the matrix, and maybe even start to affect it with my actions.
It feels a little like that moment you realise that someone you like, likes you back. Responsive, exciting, vertigo inducing, and completely locked on target.
That sweet sweet dopamine.
Now for the make-or-break: if it’s as good as I think it is, I need to get a feedback loop going as soon as I can. The ideas can only engage so long in abstract - I’ve run this before. I need to build enough of the engine to feel the traction and momentum and hold on to that excitement long enough to actually make the thing viable.
It’s exciting enough that if it works, I have no doubt I’ll happily continue building it. But I need to build enough to engage that reward circuit or it will wind up in the dustbin of good intentions.
